Structure and Goals of Course:
The course focuses on speaking, reading and writing modern Hebrew. Throughout the course
students will acquire 500 words in Hebrew used in basic conversation on a variety of topics. Students will also learn the Hebrew alphabet (Aleph Bet) and all vowels. This course is equivalent to an Ulpan in Israel.
Students meet once a week and must complete homework assignments - in the textbook and exercises sent by the teacher every week.

At the End of the Course the Student will:
- have a basic vocabulary of 500 words, useful to his personal needs and requirements

- know how to construct basic sentences in Hebrew
- know how to read short texts, stories and essays
- know how to write short simple sentences

Target population:
This course is slightly more advanced than Level A and is intended for adults who have a vocabulary of 50-100 words, can make simple sentences in Hebrew, but cannot hold a conversation. The content of both courses is identical.

Target population:

Structure and Goals of Course:
The course focuses on enhancing all language skills of the students with special attention given to engaging in conversations. The class meets on a weekly basis. Each class consists of reading and discussion. The students improve their reading comprehension and increase their vocabulary by reading the texts, mostly articles from newspapers and pieces of literature. Students improve their speaking skills and listening comprehension through discussion. Homework is sent to the students after each class to facilitate work on their writing skills.
