Adult Beginners A

Target population:
Adult students of all ages (over 17), whose mother tongue is not Hebrew and do not speak, read or write Hebrew and didn't learn hebrew online.

Duration of Course:
One year one meeting a week

Structure and Goals of Course:
The course focuses on speaking, reading and writing modern Hebrew. Throughout the course
students will acquire 500 words in Hebrew used in basic conversation on a variety of topics. Students will also learn the Hebrew alphabet (Aleph Bet) and all vowels. This course is equivalent to an Ulpan in Israel.
Students meet once a week and must complete homework assignments - in the textbook and exercises sent by the teacher every week.

At the End of the Course the Student will:
- have a basic vocabulary of 500 words, useful to his personal needs and requirements
- know how to find his way in Hebrew and describe his surroundings
- know how to talk in Hebrew to ask for objects found in his surroundings
- know how to express basic feelings and emotions
- know how to construct basic sentences in Hebrew
- know how to read short texts, stories and essays
- know how to write short simple sentences

Adult Beginners B

Target population:
This course is slightly more advanced than Level A and is intended for adults who have a vocabulary of 50-100 words, can make simple sentences in Hebrew, but cannot hold a conversation. The content of both courses is identical.

Adults Intermediate

Target population:
Adult students of all ages (over 17), whose mother tongue is not Hebrew. This course is for intermediate students who can hold a basic conversation in Hebrew, read and write basic Hebrew and wish to improve their fluency and understanding skills.

Structure and Goals of Course:
During this course students will learn grammatical structures in Hebrew and become acquainted with ways of using and identifying various modes of language. Students will learn how to differentiate between past and future, singular and plural, and male and female, and learn how to conjugate verbs. Students will enhance their vocabulary and improve their expressive and understanding skills. Students meet once a week and must complete homework assignments - in the textbook and exercises sent by the teacher every week.

At the End of the Course the Student will:
> know how to express himself more freely and fluently

Adults Advanced

Target population:
Adult students of all ages (over 17), whose mother tongue is not Hebrew. This course is for advanced students who are able to conduct a Hebrew conversation on different topics, read Hebrew texts such as simple newspaper articles and express themselves in Hebrew writing.

Structure and Goals of Course:
The course focuses on enhancing all language skills of the students with special attention given to engaging in conversations. The class meets on a weekly basis. Each class consists of reading and discussion. The students improve their reading comprehension and increase their vocabulary by reading the texts, mostly articles from newspapers and pieces of literature. Students improve their speaking skills and listening comprehension through discussion. Homework is sent to the students after each class to facilitate work on their writing skills.

At the End of the Course the Student will:
> Have a large reservoir of useful vocabulary on diverse issues.
> Feel comfortable expressing himself in Hebrew, both orally and in writing, giving a description and voicing his opinion.
> Feel comfortable reading Hebrew texts and have the necessary tools to tackle new texts.
> Have a better understanding of Hebrew structure and grammar.
> Be more familiar with the Israeli culture that is reflected in many of the texts read throughout the course.

Target Population:
Students Aged 6-13 (groups are divided according to age) whose native language is not Hebrew and who do not speak, read or write in Hebrew.

Target Population:
Students aged 6-12 (groups are divided by age) whose native language is not Hebrew. This course intended both for students continuing from our Hebrew for Beginners course, and for students with some previous exposure to Hebrew.
